The invasion of Poland in September 1939 marked the start of World War II. On September 1, 1939 Germany invaded Poland. Once Germany invaded Poland a few days later many of Poland's allies declared war on Germany. Later in September the Soviet Union invaded the eastern portion of Poland. At this time, Germany and the Soviet Union had completely occupied Poland. Your assignment is to find all the allies and axis of World War II in 1939. Figure out who were the participating parties.
